PERKASIE: Shannon Brennan and Steven Siliani of Athletes Helping Athletes, Inc. presented Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center with a check for $5000 to support its programs for disabled children and adults on Monday, May 16, at its Mill Road location.
“It was great to come out and tour this beautiful facility, meet the staff and see the riders and program in action,” said Brennan.
“We are proud to support Ivy Hill, and we loved meeting the horses,” added Siliani.
Athletes Helping Athletes Inc. exists to provide both financial support through fund-raising for Special Olympics and Special Needs Programs throughout Bucks County and the surrounding area.
“Shannon and Steve both represent Athletes Helping Athletes well, and they both LOVE horses and also love what Ivy Hill does for the special riders,” said AHA President Rick Leonetti.
Brennan and Siliani toured the facility, met with instructors, riders and parents, and learned of Ivy Hill’s history and programs that provide competitive opportunity and development of sportsmanship through their therapeutic riding programs.
“For all of us that put or heart and soul into Ivy Hill’s mission, I want to thank Rick, Shannon and Steve, and everyone involved with AHA for their continuing support,” said Ivy Hill Foundation President Chris Brockett.
“AHA is great example of the passion that it takes to change attitudes and, ultimately, the world in which we live. We hope we contribute to that enlightenment,” Brockett said.
The mission of Ivy Hill Foundation is to create therapeutic programs for individuals with cognitive, physical, emotional, behavioral and psychological needs utilizing the equine experience.
