Hippotherapy
Hippotherapy is physical, occupational, or speech therapy that utilizes the three-dimensional movement and body warmth of a horse to deliver integrated treatment.
Our trained therapists work with clients in a controlled environment and modify the horse's movement while providing sensory input.
Specific riding skills are not taught during these sessions. Rather, a foundation is established to improve neurological and sensory processing and develop fine and gross motor skills, and verbal and tactile direction is used to improve concentration and communication skills.
